The Monkey and the Wedge

In a bustling village, a group of carpenters was building a temple. They worked tirelessly, cutting logs and shaping them into beams and pillars. Every day, they would take a break at noon, leaving their tools and half-finished work behind.
A mischievous monkey lived nearby, always curious about the activities of humans. One day, while the carpenters were away for lunch, the monkey jumped onto a partially cut log. The log had a wedge inserted to keep it open for easy cutting.
The monkey, being playful, started tugging and pulling at the wedge. Ignoring the risks, he yanked it hard with all his strength. Suddenly, the wedge came loose, and the heavy log snapped shut with great force. The poor monkey's tail got trapped between the two halves of the log. He screeched in pain but could not free himself.
By the time the carpenters returned, the monkey was in agony, trapped because of his own foolishness. The men rescued him, but he had learned a painful lesson—curiosity and mischief, when not exercised wisely, can lead to great trouble.
Moral: Do not interfere in matters you do not understand, or you may end up in trouble.
